Romeo before and after he is a live I have check all signs, he was very shy at the begging but after we had stay for 2 hours he was ok.

It tell you how strong the Lions are, what is he feeding on most of the time, where does he live, like in the last few days he is lost,

I had news from a lot of offices in the field that Clawed is accepted by the four new Musketeer, what is gone on there??

Dick is the Old male a few years before Honey boys they were the strongest Male Cheetah in the Area.
Now a lone old but strong, of the two most beautiful spotted cats in the Mara Cheetah had prove to have given us guide the most Challenge of all on Drives this days.
We can see a few Leopards from Mara North to Naboisho but Cheetah had become very had indeed.
Speaking to the Guides a cross the Mara they all admit its the main Challenge to See and Show guest.

Olive now is about to show her little ones its just a matter of time before we see they new cubs fingers cross. We had Meet Binti, Ayah, Kali, Paja, Nkayoni, and last Bahati.
She had been the best mum I have known on Leopard world.

Happy New year, after some time away from the park I have just arrive to meet up with my old friends, Notch and Olive,
Both old now but still going, Notch and his Sons Kill a hippo a few days ago Now taken over six prides, From Main Crossing to Fig Tree.

Olive other other had is about to give more present young ones, We are following her close yesterday she was hissing on Bahati thinking she is just sending a message I am busy baby.

This are the 4 cubs whose Mother was Killed by Lions at Naboisho, now they have made it on there own how nice, We meet this young Cheetahs in a very rainy day not good light however its still Magical to see them being strong and still supporting each other to the last min Lol.

There Father found them and they got hassle for a few hours but he them Left them a long, Cheetahs as I said to you all early on my Blog they are getting few and few, I belief some of you who had been in the mara in the last few months had straggle to see one.
Its had to drive for days and hours endless without seeing our fastest animal on earth going down slowly!!!!!!.

Naboisho have most of the Cheetahs I can count now in the Maasai Mara I have counted up to 12 Cheetahs bless the people who help to create this conservancy.

On the other had Olive is doing great bring up her little Daughter Bahati.
She is so well fed she could not handle the food up on the tree.
Olive had Kill two Impalas at one day and put them all in one tree what a great photo opportunity for us all who love this animals.

Nkayoni is still following them every time she make a Kill he come and beg I know its just a matter of time he live for ever like Binti, Kali, Ayah as well as his brother Paja.

Our old friends my be some where in the mara running around after they have been Challenge by Scar face group, Clawed and Romeo are a live in there Sons and Daughters for a long time.

Scar face is the new face of the Marsh pride.

This New face of the Marsh pride is here,
Its had to accept but its the lions life, Clawed and Romeo had been in the marsh for 4 years so many cubs had been fathered by this males, therefore its time they go other wise they will be mating with there owen cubs, Nature is clever and its take care of its self like it or not.
The nine cubs are no longer babies they are ready to mate if you remember during big cat live.

After the news of the Mara Marsh pride we now know Clawed and Romeo are out of the pride.
It happen with long fight with 4 brothers which came from the east may be fig tree but I think from Olkeju rongai on the south.

When Notch took over Olkeju a lot of Lions movement had taken place, the old Mama and some of the subs went towards the Look out then the five boys come east and I believe this are the males who took over the Marsh pride.
I had been following them at Double crossing area I thought they will take over Moniko pride with Cheza and Sala but they are still very strong indeed, the only one in the area with weak boys was the marsh pride.

We have lost 3 males from the River pride so call the disney pride now strong I would think they had move towards the Serengeti out of Look over Sand river area.

This the Quick updates on the Mara Lions, Paradise is still rule by Notch and his boys with 7 females and losts of subs.
River pride below Serena are now 4 lioness, 8 cubs three on the Rekero Crossing, and 1 call Lona with her cub use to be on the same pride but she move on her owen.

Mohican and three females from the New ridge pride are now together after the two males got chase by Notch and his sons towards Ole Orok Conservancy, he (Mohican) had just mated with this females and the old Marsh Males are not far off from them but will not threaten them with there age, Clawed and Romeo.

At the Double crossing area we had the three females, the younger sub had been kill by Bob when they took over for a months days, then Notch and his sons mated with them before they move on towards the east and take over Olkiombo pride.

Notch with his powerful boys had taken over Olkiombo pride consist of 10 lioness, so its largest pride they had congers so far,
They are so busy with lots of girls I think Moniko pride with Cheza and Sala are ok at the moment.

The last one to mention is the Marsh pride the old males had been seen on Rhino ridge together but Clawed was not in good shape at all, we will update you where about they are how there doing.
Bibi had now stayed on to mate with the new males the rest are still scatted all over the place but soon one by one will realize they have no where to go.

Honey boys had lost one of the strong bothers we still do not know but suspect lions on the rhino ridge,
Though they had been weaken with lose of there strong bother they are still the strongest males in the area by far, soon some young males will move in and challenge them, its the life of Mara wildness.

Dear Friends,

After some time in the eastern Mara we now have a car Donated by KWT to naboisho Conservancy, to monitor the Cheetahs.
I went to Naboisho for just 2 nights then I meet up with 7 cheetahs in one drive, Shingo Cubs are all there too 6 of them together there mother is now gone away from the Subs,
I meet up with the 4 Subs remain after there mother and sister was Kill by lions.

This new Mother had arrive to the some area Nelson Save her with one of our guides Wilson Mpoya from a lion attack however they come here because there is less pressure on Cars.

We are still moving on to get the rest of the Marutis soon.

Dear Friends After some time in Nomadic Mobile I finally found a Cheetah, It had become very had to see this wanderful animals.

I think I had seen her before when she had this little cubs with Olivier near Olkejurongai.
Shingo is still doing well though she is in the Naboisho conservancy, hope she will finish the up bringing of 6 cubs.
I hope to be there in a few days time if she will be there then I will up date you all a long side with the Left cubs from Naboisho female.

After a long hot day I found a small pride near Sand River area two males, one female and two cubs I would think its part of a large pride.
The Migration is still in Kenya though I had seen a few herds moving into Seregeti.

On the other had this majestic animals had been poach so had in the last few months near Lemek hills, Olkinyei hills, and Koyiaki Hill, Now we have a group of rangers who just for the Elephants in this area Thanks to Joyce Pool and her team a long side other friends of Kenya.
We hope they will be back and happy in the hills, there may main breeding area.

Lose of Cheetah Mum and her unseen babies

Dear Friends,

As the Season Kick in we are have good report and bad at the same time as you would expect from a lively place like the Maasai Mara.

Just two days ago we had lost this female, we had seen her before with her cub a blind eyed one if you all remember, she lost her some where to shaped then she got pregnant after.

There is a Maasai proverb which say ''Melami Nkiragat'' meaning you will not excape fate.

The Vet wanted to help her after she had an injury but she never got up so sad.

As we are talking about this news the mother with five cubs at Naboisho also kill by Lions we think and one of the cubs is missing too we do not know up to date what happen.

This is a big lose to our Cheetah in the mara I could not sleep for a few days after this news.

The Simbas are doing well however some of them got in trouble from cattle grassers not long ago the drought is had the wildebeest migration is in direct competition to our cattle so the pressure is very high.

Enoolera Pride have three wanderful young Males and I had follen in love with them too.

When I meet them first they run into the bushers not wanting any thing to do with people and cars.

Slowlly I had to make some friendship with them every now and them night and also evening all a lone,

This is way to aproach the wildlife when they are shy and been expose to a lot of dangers in there life.

Now they know we are not bad people we are here for them I do believe sending this message animals will communicate in a different way.

Its not that easy a good study of behavior take time and love to conservation is the Magic.

Now I have left them in good health matting and ready to bread and be a very strong pride.

Looking forward to visit them soon and for all of you who will be visiting handle them with care.

cheetah Mum in Naboisho

After a few report on this fantastic Mother Cheetah, she had raise succesfully Five Cubs nearly adults now.

Three boys and two girls, I had followed her and she went way out of my reach some time but not in any danger,

In a place full of Lions and hyenas I do not know how this Mother raise this cubs to nearly adult hood.

Naboisho have from my experience up to 12 Cheetah, all in good condition.

As I focus my fundraise in and out of the country to safe this wonderful species I now will be moving back to Park to see how things will be doing there.

I do know Shingo and her Little family is doing well I just hope they have not been harass by Cars as the season with lots of wildebeest arrive.

Naboisho now have some help after KWT donated a car for Cheetahs in this Conservancy and I am working had with them to get the two Cars to get to the Game Reserves fingers Cross people would continue to Donate on this project.

Team lets not give up ever on what we know its a good thing to do for our wildlife in Africa the Maasai Mara.

Dear Friends,

After Staying at Naboisho Conservancy for nearly a Month an Half I now have to continue my Journeys to the rest of the maasai Mara.

I had been attach to the following Males of Koyiaki Guiding school pride the largest on the area.

Saitoti,

Sadala,

Saidimu,

With help of people Like Justin Hearth, Dickson Kaelo and some of my Guides around the area now I m going to miss them just like Notch and his boys Marsh pride in Musiara marsh.

I then found another small pride call Enoolera pride North of KGS of 7 lions 4 females and 3 young male at their prime.

I have found a real treasure in Life being with wild life how satisfying it is to see them have a future.

I should say a big thank you for those Men and women who work had to create this Conservancies My God they had given Us all hope for our Big Cats who so much Threaten in our countries.

Thank you must go Base Camp Foundation, Tusk Trust, Rekero Conservation Trust, and now to Kenya Wildlife Trust,

Also the following Camps for braving to invest even when things are not so well or Positive they sow it even though it was a had and risky decision, Asilia Africa, Base camp wilderness safaris, Mara Encounter, and Kicheche Safaris also not to forget Game Watchers through Porini Camps and Lodges.

Dear Friends,

I am still in Naboisho the Lions had been had to see them during the Day due to the numbers of Cows during the Day and Night as well.

Overall the place is fantastic still great wildlife experience.

Saitoti the Dominant Lion of Koyiaki Guiding School pride had stay on even when things are tuff he still need to protect his pride.

For the last week or so I could not find our cheetah mum with 5 cubs until yesterday found her done well to raise this wonderful cubs 3 boys and 2 females.

Nice to spend time with her and the Cubs.

Notch on the move,

After missing this old Male for a few weeks, I found him far from his main teritory God know where his heading to.

Notch and his 4 sons had taken over most of the maasai mara from Main Crossing, Topi Plains, not far off from the Marsh pride, Double Crossing right to edge of OOC, and still moving on.

I had found them with one of the 3 lioness from the Double crossing pride, however the smaller member of the pride is missing I think still running away from Notch boys.

The Main Males from this pride had gone too since they are 2 against 5 not a chance for them.

This Little pride will not keep the Notch and his boys here Bob I would think, he will like to Challenge Cheza and Sala at OOC.

While the rest may go back to Rongai, and River Crossing they took over from Fang.

I really do not know what will happen to so many cubs that are Fathered by this group its only time will tell.

The Marsh pride may not be speared either this boys are too powerful.

Saitoti the King of Naboisho Main Pride.

Now I am in Naboisho once again, this place needed some one to make some great discoveries,

The conservancy is facing some challangers like Cattle, coming in during the day and at Night.

After the creation of Naboisho a lot of game had come back very fast, Cheetah, Lions, and Leopard among other preditors.

Lots of Elephants, Hippo, Zebras Giraff are present in this area.

I will be working in this place for a whole Month then will move back to the reserve and Mara North.

Naboisho is crucial to the area surrounding the maasai Mara national reserve, because of the loita Migration, this numbers are not as many as the Seregeti migration but its nearly half the size.

Most of the cheetahs had been running into this place for breading reasons now had finally ID as many as 12 Cheetah.

Its also home to the white head vultures which are getting rear in the whole ecosystem.

In the last week I have been driving around I had found very special birds like Yellow neck Spur Fowl, Golden Pipit, Magpie Shike, and the rearrest bird in East Africa, Karamoja Aplis.

Its special to live in this place and see it grow.

April Trip

Dear Friends,

I have been a long time since I had communicated, I had travel to USA and found the country just as good intresting as our own.

I arrive LA after 16 hours flying from Dubai, and crash for a few hours.

Then travel to San Diego to meet up with Aardvark boss John Spence.

We had been very lucky with the weather warm clear and the sea was nice every day we walk around the ocean.

I took a walk on Torry Pinne Park to see what I can see, it was just natural beaty and wanderful views.

The next day a friend Chip Owen took me to San Diego Zoo, I did not think I would like but I had some other things in mine, I love and miss the wildlife of Africa.

To my Surprise I love every min of it, so well done this Zoo.

Some of the animals I sow there are near extinction like the Northern White Rhino, Panda, among others.

I sow the rear Okapi, if I would had spend top Dollar to see this animal it could had been difficult knowing its only found in Congo.

The list is endless spend the whole Morning and do date I still think about it.

After 8 days of had work Marketing I travel north to Utah, to meet the Boss of Safari Expert.com Tim Lapage.

He took me to another great county from Mexican Mountains to Bryce Canyon.

This had remain to be the highlight of my trip in the States.

Utah is very beautiful, indeed I was sock, we sow prong horn deer, and Elk on our flight which was like out of Africa.

I finish this trip and head home Kenya long time to be way from the office.

Landed in Jomo Kenyatta and went strait to TZ Taragire national Park for two weeks.

This was just fantastic to see and smell the wilderness of Africa.

After some time we now had conform one of the little cubs had been missing, I do not think we can see the little cub any more which was a boy, Now Olive and Nkayoini had been together with the Little cub female, feeding together and resting in one tree some time.

For the time we have follow Olive, and the two cubs its just like the days of Big Cat Live, where we found this leopard with Binti, Ayah and Kali, Olive had just repeated the same, she is a good Mother more than I have learn in history of Leopard.

Cheetah in Naboisho Conservancy

Before we had our breakfast In Naboisho camp, we found yet another star from the guiding school area. A mother with 5 cubs, just imagine the fun looking at this young Cheetahs play hid and seek.

You can tell clearly this mum have not see a lot of cars she was shy and not giving any time at all good for her.

When we meet her right in the open she started walking towards the safe heaven she always new, the Acacia thorn tree line of forest in the Area.

As you all know how had this days to see Cheetahs I am glad to meet this ones at Naboisho.

The cubs did not care if we are there or not it was playing time, this group had done so well I could not believe my eyes what I was looking at after some long days and had drives in the Mara without any Cheetah.

The affect on Cars surrounding this species is very clear most of them had left to quiet place like Naboisho, Bless the people who had work had to form this heaven for our animals.

Cubs can be entertaining, heart breaking, and lovable, in any away for someone like me who love this animals I was over the Moon.

I would still suggest we help our National reserve to bring the glory back to our enjoyment also for the future of our Children and there, just like this one I had at Naboisho.

Dear Friends,

I am now on a long deserve leave after a long time in the camp and hosting guest.

Just the day before I went home I went to see the new Naboisho Conservancy how its doing and what Animals will see there.

What a good surprise, I meet up with new members which I am yet to introduce to you all.

22 lions in one morning between 6:15 and 10 am what a place, Naboisho is on the eastern side of Olkiombo about 40 min from there and North east of Talek if you look at the Map.

This place is solitude heaven any one who will come to this place will just amazed with the number of wildlife from Cats to Elephants, Topi, Gnus, and Lots of Giraffes.

This is the King of this pride no Name yet Since I will be spending the whole of June there this year I will surely introduce you to all the members of this pride.

I am so exited to let you know about them.

Lisbey is Missing

The Main Marsh Pride is now amazing strong just kill a female buffalo in the marsh yesterday. This are White, Charm, Bibi and the young cub cubs.

White is looking very strong now than ever as bibi is.

The one member we now know is missing is Lisby we have been looking for it for nearly a month and bit but no sign yet however before we over rule and say she in not with us any more lets just give it a little more time to find her.

Next on the missing list are two of the graces I think they are just around the conner some where not far.

This pride do goes in and out of the reserve its had for the Rangers to track them all the time, especially at night when they go and cause trouble with our local people.

Young family of the marsh pride

Dear All,

I had took a quick look at the marsh Pride and found some of the intresting fact about this pride.

First I had found 4 of the 9 cubs during big cat live are now big cats full grown up.

Intrestingly they had separated from the main pride just like the graces when Glawed and Romeo took over.

There brothers are down to 3 one of them lost a leg and I do know what happened to the other he look very lame as well may be as a result of hunting Hippo.

More to come today stay with me.

Dear Friends,

As you my want to know how our cheetah are doing, all well indeed.

Shingo or Duma the mother of 6 cubs is stayed in a close area near Talek for nearly two months now.

She is so cleaver she knows no one will follow her into her bed room and she come out every time she need to explore for food then back in.

Narasha and her boys are going well too just been going in and out of the reserve too right into OOC conservancy where she gave birth her Boy.

Honey boys are as good as ever however one if limping yesterday do not what happen, as they go for larger prey its inevitable it they will be injured.

The Cars had not been behaving well too still crowd the poor Cheetahs, I am still hopping we can get two cars for this Job as soon as we can to stop this type of Behavior.

Mara North News

Dear Friends,

After I had been at the reserve for a few days I am now at Mara north conservancy, I could not believe in my Eyes how the wildlife is in this place,

Heads of wildebeest, Zebras, Elephant, and many other small antelopes,

I had encounter Once again Joshua pride now very heavily pregnant its very exiting to see when they give birth to Little lions.

The Cheetah with a cub some time ago who had a blind eye is also here we sow a lot in just one Hour of a drive.

As You know I love leopards too, the nest day we had some of them are in the area we went around and we found them what a superb day for my guest and my self, I have now seen all things are possible Mara North is getting there I would think in the next 3 years it will be the best place to see cats in the mara, both Cheetah, leopards, and lions,

Just min from Arriving to the park, hot evening harry to go and meet my other repeat guest for the after noon tea.

I then sow on the conner of my eye and Leopard, I look and thought which cheetah is that a lone in the long grass,

Stop and go slowly to check who he or she was, to my surprise its Paja, very far from Mum territory up at Double crossing, He could be getting out soon towards OOC conservancy, I am glad he is going this way I have now lost Kali, and Binti whom I think gone towards the serengeti.

He made my day just before I had my tea and small cake the top up my appetite.

Dear all,

It was had to sleep last night at rekero camp with Notch and his family of three females and cubs all over the place roaring.

Notch and his sons are now dominant over a few prides, Old ridge pride also known as Disney pride, Paradise pride, Ol keju Rongai pride all on the eastern side of the river.

Now we have seen 11 cubs with Old ridge pride between 3 females, it all went well as the cubs run to there fathers and greeted them later owen went to sleep together just below our staff camp.

On the other had Notch Son fast born was sitting away from the cubs then joined them to get away from the hot Sun of February.

I am looking forward for another noisy night,

Lions with Cattle

On the issue of why we need tents, is as follows, We have now divided our group ranges and every one have got there own tile so the land around the Reserve is privately own.

Its a good thing and bad too, Good when people who care about conservation give there land for wildlife us and get some income which at the moment is holding most of our old and new conservancies.

Without this people coming on board to protect the wildlife the future of wildlife around the Maasai mara can put to jeopardy.

Local who own land at the boundary can say I do not want wildlife just cattle then what can you do to that citizen?

As we in our own belief Cattle is every thing and its still is the primary income for our locals by far.

The tents work will be the addition magic to help this rangers to patrol around every boundary of the park night and day time, lest say it should help great deal, at list we as wildlife lovers can have a say if we see some of this wildlife get Kill in or on the age of the reserve.

From one end of the reserve to the end i would say at list 70 Kilometers long and its all surrounded by former group rangers so its really tough on the park Rangers.

I should be there so suggest some points but not without any input just empty words, its does not work.

Honey boys had been very active lately traveling from one end of the mara to the other,

To track them had been very difficult indeed.

We now have three more young males in the area its likly to be taking the territory very soon we shall see where do Honey boys go may be that is why most of the time on the move may be to try and look for more areas just in case.

Just let you once more on how the Cheetah harament cars will be is as follow:

As it look like inreasingly more people want to come to the mara for good photos then its hadder and hadder for the cheetahs who only eat fresh food and most of the time hunt during the day when the Tourist are active.

Just think of this little cubs now who need to eat a lot of meat and there Mum must work had to feed as many mouths as this, its is so had, One most people would like to spend time taking pic because they are soo sweet, two as a result of having that many it means the mother will active more therefore its likely to see a kill if you follow her.

That is way its important to have two Cars for this Job.

Granny white had gone towards look out with her Sons and grandsons some of the young daughters however she is just about to finish her safari.

After getting the news of a lion who was Kill some where near the musiara, Mara rianta area,

We had panic on who was this missing Lion news come saying it was White eye, Now its not I have just conform yesterday.

This pride will always raise our heats because of there location in the park, So close to Maratianta and its not fun must of the time when people grace there cows on the Boundary of the reserve and Nothing the park Rangers can do to stop it.

Now this is why the tents will be use full just think about it I will not father on this.

Both Males cubs are all in good condition however we do not know who is missing at the moment until next week when we all know about it.

Duma Cubs last Month all are a live please do not panic where the other two are just around the conner.

Dear friends,

This is my year Dream and Vision, I had away postponed it for a long time since last year.

I am here to ask you all to Kindly fund raise two Cars for Cheetah Monitoring and stop the harassment from Cars.

The Mara had become very popular once again its not a bad thing great when people in the country could have jobs to feed there families but on the other had this poor animals will not have a chance to rest hunt on there owen without at list 6 to 10 cars following them.

Now over the last few years Cheetah had become less and less in the area as you can read from my other posts.

Now I had consulted the Park Warden about this and he said yes go a head ask to fund raise two Cars of Maruti type.

I would need your support to Raise 2,000,000/- Kenya Shillings for the two cars and 832,000/- for Dome tents made of Ripstop canvas as this will last some years if its look after the use of tents will be for patrolling the boundaries near the local group ranges, more and more pressure is coming in from the Cattle and we need to cooperate with our park Rangers.

This bring us to $35,400 Dollars this is what We need to achieve this year after that we try and do some other good work for Maasai mara Game reserve I ask your support right know.

Now as you can see we are nearly four Killomiters from where we had left Mum and Notch II having a real agument,

Notch on the other had still behind Mohican very close by now our hearts still betting up as we do not know what will happen.

You see this animals sleeping you think this are most lazy animals on earth but in a day like this where thy had to run for kilometers then you realize they are not.

Poor thing look at frost of saliva coming out of his mouth so tired hopping this should be over by now but still not.

The boys from Notch side are just as fit amazing Notch was still keeping up with his sons as old as he is, not once he stop just a few times the boys can take over from him but still behind run all the way what a marathon of lions and great excitement.

A few chase the mother gave up and waited Notch too take her hostage trait away and Notch with three other of his Sons took on Mohican run him for a long time.

The Mother and her son who had been together for along time now had to go different ways.

First Mohican is a little too old to be with his Mum now in this respect he need to move on for ever if possible so his Mother can start another family,

Dear all,

I had Notch and his sons this morning and the roar was not normal, got up quick got my binocs and camera.

Head to the Rekero Crossing onto Pose, the world had come to a stan still Notch and his sons are on Mission a fight,

I watch there behavior as a guide I knew some thing is happening.

Next one to Pear is Papa Notch following his son heal to heal.

I can tell strait away they are going to cause some trouble up there.

Its time to listen like them they stop and listen I do the same, over to wards Rhino Ridge I can hear hyenas and some lions roaring did not know how they were just a sound.

The Marsh Boys

Going to see the Rest of the marsh pride we meet up with this young boys fighting with Hyenas and ridge pride is looking on.

What I can see was the three females had made a kill then hyenas come in hundreds and push them out out no argument at all.

On the processes they started fighting among them self attracting the young boys from Marsh pride who are depended on hyenas any way at this stage we counted upto 80 hyenas but could not move this young males from the Marsh pride.

Laughing, wooping, running, marking would not move them.

Its another fantastic Morning, Jonny was with me and his family.

The new Ridge pride

Like any tough muster on Safari we always got up very early and this is where we meet up with one of the males from the Ridge pride.

They had left there females and three cubs and found another three females just on the Dubble crossing area on Olkiombo Males territories.

The Three males from Olkiombo are busy near fig tree area making lost of cubs patrolling east where the pressure is high from OOC Males Sala and Cheza.

I tell you this office is full of fun, death, Sex and birth all happening as we watch, in the Maasai mara.

Now this young male must had run into Sala or Cheza way he was soo limping hardly work.

He will be ok though the rest of the females and cubs run to him to check if he was fine and he prove to them on big roar.

I am sure the guest in my car thought this just the way it is in the Office not knowing how lucky they were to see what they had seen in a very short time.

Never the less I loved every min of it and cant wait to go back soon.

Never the less for a while I did not see Clawed but just before the year ended I meet him,

I stragle to recognize the old boy he had lost his mane now and most of his teeth are gone poor thing,

however he was happy on a water buck kill, I think Romeo had made it.

This Old boy once rule the Marsh area and kick out the like of Notch and his sons.

You can still see the power in his eyes it doesn't matter how old one is we all know he was the once a powerful boy and we love him dearly.

He had father a lot of cubs in the marsh like this young boys below who are now on there owen away from the main pride,

just on the edge of it fighting for there food hyenas and stilling from the Ridge pride females.

When we meet up with this young males on a wildebeest Kill they put up on a show live, fighting them self how nice to see brothers having some argument in the dinning room,

The year ended just perfect I was with our characters most of the time before and after new year,

Lorian now had been conform to two little cubs female and male I spend most of the hot day trying to meet the little cubs but not yet lucky.

We had followed Lorian for a while and her only cub who was born two years ago at the same place was move to up river of Olkeju Rongai, though we just sow the little cub then Lorain and her went away until last year when she show up ( Lorian ) but not the older cub.

Still missing on our list are Kali, Binti, and Ayah,

Before I call it a day i went on with my beloved we found Narasha and her family finishing a Kill.

Earlier someone said we have seen the three Brothers meaning Honey boys, so I went looking for them to my surprise it was not them but a good surprise of Narasha.

My wife and Kids could not believe what they had seen in one day, I said to them its not like this in every Game drive, now the sky is getting black with rains we must go home now we had a good day love I said to them all,

One hour after we went away from the reserve I went on another road like I will always do my extra mile,

guess what yet a final surprise for all of us Leopard, just before we drove up towards Kipeleo,

We believe this is the best Christmas present for our family in years.

It had been a great day we must go home now for our sundowners.

As the Day went on I meet up with Notch boys, as you can see what can you do to wake them up?? haaaaa.

Just doing what lions are best doing Sleep,

Arriving to where they have been sleeping I can smell the dead hippo for almost half a Km from where they are,

Joshua the King of Mara North

Dear all,

Just on my few days guiding at Mara North I have found great sighting of lions and Leopards,

I went out from up North of the conservancy to look for Joshua and his brother and lucky I have found them.

Now the two males have taken complete residents in this area near C &P camp call Elephant Pepper.

How wonderful to get off the road going to Mara Rianta and Joshua and his brother, three lioness are relax and happy.

I was happy to see the rangers on patrol when ever they see more than two cars with any predator well done guys its the way forward.

One thing I am still finding out was the messege this lion send it to me I think you can also tell some thing is not right.

He is saying I am annoyed you let them in again meaning the cattle, for about a month the rangers agree for cattle to grass in the core area for nearly two weeks and our pride was not that happy about this arrangement some thing that must stop if we are believers of conservation.

We all agree yes and Today I went there not one cow on sight well done guys its a sign of hope when we see lions and leopards walking during the day without any threats from the Human activities.

The glory of the mara is coming back again through the new conservancies.

We still have a long way to go,

Lisbey one of the Marsh Female

Dear Friends,

It have been a long time since I have seen the marsh pride, I believe they are all together under the watch of Romeo and Bibi,

Just found some members a few days ago, Lisbey and two of her sons right at bilashaka,

The boys had grown well thank good for there Mama she had been looking after them since they broke out of the Main Pride,

Most of the time the main Pride is at the marsh and they have a lot of babies with them,

The older Cubs now adult are near bilashaka most of the time, and just below where this Laga joint the marsh for those who know the mara well.

Some New male are not far from them but still afraid of Clawed and Romeo it will not be long before Romeo is seen off by the up coming males since Clawed is getting old know.

Our biggest Challenge is the encroachment of Settlement around the Reserve boundary more more villages had been build in the last few months with to me is not good news.

We just hope Mara North will succeed because it will give more Shelter to our pride as it get bigger and bigger,

South of the Bilashaka is Notch and his Sons no way the young Males will ever Dream going south the only option left is towards the George.

Letura is the Name of this Boy

Dear Friends,

Yet another wandefull day in the Office we found Letura and one female mating at C&P ridge below Aitong Plains,

I had from the guides is this female was the one Lemek Plains close to Kicheche some time last year,

After Staying with them for at list 3 hours, the mating was so intense and the large male last with us, he gave us a mock Charge every one in my car woke up and realize they are not only beutiful but also scary.

The Guest who are from Germany company call Lion King .com said it was the best day they had ever had in africa for in so many visit.

Mara North is coming up and the fruits are just starting after so many year of case and shamble with mismanagement of this part of the Maasai Mara.

East and West home is best, after a few days traveling to UK, I am now back home the maasai mara.

My first thought was where is Notch, Olive, Paja and Shingo.

While I went looking for them in there home range I found a old friend Lorian which some of you knew her from last Post I had publish, I was so happy to see her in good condition.

I rember her having a cub but I believe the cub is independed by know.

We have all been very busy in the office with so much going on from guiding to hosting and family time,

The migration this year had prove to be the best we have seen in Seven years, Our Cuts are busy Shopping, I mean every lion leopard and Hyena are full cant even move without having another wildebeest,

However this is not for long as the Migration head South, now flat out crossing the rivers being Talek or Sand River and the mighty Mara River,

We are all very busy as you can imagine how the mara is like now with Lost of ngus and guest from all over the world.

This is good news for Kenya and the people I share this office with.

We have been looking for Saba and her Cub in the last few days just to learn she left to mara north and for sure I meet her a few days ago and all well with her cub.

As I mention before the straggle of our cheetah in the mara still is not as many compare to what the area can take,

Recently I meet up with new cubs near Olkeju Rongai two different mums with 8 cubs not bad at all however as you know cheetah cubs are so venerable at this stage it look like near the Serengeti is best for there breading.

My Friends,

Well after some long hours Looing for the leopards the J5 save the day, Olive young boy Nkayioni happen to be on the banks of the Talek river and what a Joy for me and the people I was guiding.

We sat there for some time with this young male leopard, he was hunting some small animals dik diks and Young Impalas.

Before he got in any luck we had to move on thank you Young Kijana for coming out for us.

The leopard had not servad as much as the lions and Cheetahs in the Savanna,

Like any of our big cats if we are not there to care for them too we will have the same cry in a few years.

Its the cheetah we are most concen than any thing in Africa now.

What a trite for this Lioness to bring this precious cub near the Road.

Dear all,

Yet another good day in the office, I meet up with a few familiar faces, after getting my ticket from Musiara Gate I went strait to look for the marsh pride.

Surelly there was Bibi, White Eye, Romeo and two of the Cubs,

They had been out to Mara North conservancy east of Musiara Gate in such of Food.

Today they had more than enough as you all know the migration is in full swing.

Old Romeo could be happy three girls looking after his large belly at this point he barely say hi to us so full.

After that I went towards main crossing area on the way I found a female with one cub on Paradise, Cheetah had been a real strangle in and out of the reserve which is really worrying,

Dear Friends,

After some time in camp now Notch had taken the area with his sons and not any Male lion can withstand the power of this Old male.

They had taken over the old Ridge pride some time ago now had matted waiting for new notchers.

Just before my tea arrive to my tent I had been listening the roar from them and then the radio call Notch is out here then I got quickly and went strait to look for him.

I do love this boy once you meet him then you know why he is call the King of the mara.

Dear Friends after hearing Notch is around I went very early this morning looking for a friend Bwana Notch,

Just before I found him the presences of his powerful sons was in the area Wildebeest running around, hynas giving way.

Then I had a radio call while I was fowlling one of his sons and a female may be more cubs soon.

I was very exited run and found him just as the first light crake the sky of the maasai mara.

What a moment looking at each other and meeting in joy,

When ever I meet up with this male lions joy fill all my body and I cant resist telling every one how they are doing, especialy people who know him, love him and how he stragle to bring his sons to this might.

This boys might have not meet up all night and now they are having a bond greeting and Notch there father is just looking on I am sure with a lot of pride, good sons.

Dear Friends,,

Once again we are back to wetness the action on the mara, Our lions at last had got what they need after a long time food, you can see this cubs from Notch Pride or Paradise tack in to the meal.

Notch pride had split into two now but only the females not the males, two females killed this wildebeest then taken over by three and cheese the two far away, the cubs came in and no trouble from the females.

Then this powerful boys are still the dominant group of cheetahs in our area no one can challenge them still,

With the migration being here no problem with food supply therefore a lot of action after every three days if you follow Honey boys.

Still the cheetah are rear in the reserve if they go mmmm we will struggle to see some cheetah,

Shakira is still in the conservancy and her cubs which I think may be going between the two countries Kenya and Tanzania.

Olive on the other had are doing well we have seen then in the last two days successful hunts and the boys Paja and Nkaiyoni is going strong no worry about them.

Not gone yet they will stay for a little while being boys.

There father Golden balls is with them a lot of the time we sow him with Olive yesterday hunting at together rear thing to witness.

Dear friends,

After such long waiting from the mara Residents as well as viewers like me finally the food arrive.

The migration come just on time the cubs are looking very thine and there mamas asking what can we feed you babies.

Thank God there is one who care for all.

Wildebeest from the loita and Seregeti had to come to meet in the mara reserve, most of the Wildebeest had gone to mara triangle but lost still in the area and will continue for a while.

As much as we love the action when the zebra and wildebeest arrive the best is site in the middle of them and listen observe as the world goes buy this some of my best moment of all in my office.

Snap, Crackle and Pop,

I now miss the Big Cat Dieary, some of the sight we had witness are worth telling people from all over the world,

A day in the reserve looking for Snap and his brothers was exalent when we meet all the three with a young female which I do not know but seen her many times in the area.

Snap Crackle and Pop took this young female hostage for a few days and at the end any thing will do if she can get a brake from the Boys.

The young female Cheetah jump on the roof of our car and we had to stay until duck waiting for her to go but she look like she was not going to haaa.

At the end we had some other Tourist around us taking pictures while the boys looking for away of getting on to our car roof,

She at the end jump and got onto some els car few we left and hope she will have cubs soon.

Honey the mother must be so proud of her Boys today in the Large Savanna.

Cheetah had become had to see in the area, with long grass did not help and small game moving out contributed to there rarity.

The more we have good conservancies in the mara and Kenya as a whole the better chance we have for survival of our endangered species.

A small section of the migration had arrive to the mara thank God for this, you remember how had it was for our other predators like the marsh pride who left the park into Mara North for almost three months now.

We all well come the Ngus in both hands.

Dear Friends,

I am just about to finish my safari in the mara wich lasted 5 days so far and have another two to go before I have a break.

The office have been very productive I had meet up indeed with Snap, Crackle and Pop in the Topi Plains,

The after noon was fub as they started hunting after every one is gone for lunch and let the strongest to wetness the show.

The game is still good though the grass is long which make it had for the predators to however its survival of the fittest.

So happy to have seen them after a months since I had updated you all,

In the reserve very few other cheetahs even Saba, and her Cub are no where to be seen, as well as Allana with her cub.

I have been looking for Olive no success yet but she is in the area keep missing them for two drives now this morning she was near smelly crossing but come a little bit too late.

I had found other leopards in the area

Shakira I have no news at all we wait for the area to busy and we will here there report.

Olkiombo pride

Dear Friends of Conservation,

I am now work through all the members of our prides as I get to see them, this morning we found the Olkiombo females 4 of them with 7 cubs all hungry but hope is on the way.

This pride had move very close to Sala and Cheza territory hope the 3 brothers can keep them away from them.

This lions are hungry need some food but the its not too far away as the loita Migration is just around the conner,

Since they have come this far during the rain season I can see the cubs making it the real buffer is coming soon.

I had of the Snap Cracow and Pop are some where on the rhino ridge but the two rivers were flooded no way today may be tomorrow if does not rain.

After the rains the grass is long had to see any thing and most of the grazers let to the conservation area.

Dear Friends,

Well come back to my office, Min after my morning drive I meet up with Notch pride I was so delighted to meet then again and how the cups have grown.

The Old boy as well the young are not any where to be seen in the morning I believe in the mara conservancy a cross the river.

I look for the marsh pride but I gather they went into Mara North Conservancy east of Musiara gate.

The Two males Romeo and Clawed are well together in the marsh area and two new boys are hanging around to take over soon.

I will look for the rest of our characters this afternoon and next few days while in the office, all good looking I am exited to be with you again and our lovely Cats and Grassers.

Dear Friends,

How exiting to drive from homes to camp and meet up with our preditors.

I went today to visit our camp and just on root I meet up with Olkimbo members 3 females and 2 cubs.

After that I found honey boys in a good light and My day was made here.

The grass in the mara is very long indeed for those who are planing to come in this months the area look amaizing with some good clouds around and fantastic light however you have to bear with long grass had photogrophy.

I then went with John one of our senior guides to see what is in the area and now before the after noon shower.

We then found Notch boys all together very happy and you can see how affectionate they are to each other.

Notch and one of the boys are some where but 4 of the boys were together may be thinking how to catch hippo tonight.

Indeed what a well coming day for.

Members of Naboish, Olare ork, and Emotoroki come to witness.

While I was at home I have meet up with some good community Ideas from ladies to men It was very exiting to see some people are coming with some solutions like addressing the cattle wildlife grazing areas conflicts.

Ron Beaton the founder of Olare Orak conservancy as well as our father of Rekero camp and homes for a long time have come up with this excellent Idea of harvesting the grass than banning in every year while we know the communities will need the grass in had times.

Over the years we had burn the grassland to get more grass genate and keep the ticks under contral now I thing this is the best project ever in maasai land and other parts of the country

Ron and all other members of Olere Orak conservancy if this works it will help the parks to and protected areas from the ongoing conflicts every year being the mara or Tsavo you name its.

Dear My Friends,

It have been a little while since we meet on the blog however all is good on our side after good leave time with family members.

I went yesterday to see how every thing is going in the mara and sure all is going well meeting guides who in and a few rangers here and there.

The prides from now until the middle of June it will had work with very little herbivores around apart from Buffs and Hippo.

This as always been the time we loose lions cubs due to natural courses like starvation among other things, in this way the natural world eliminate the weak from the prides and the strong genes stay.

Soon I will be able to let you now on our spotted cats may be in three days time when I go back and look for them.

Dear My friends,

I now want to once again like to say a big thank you for all who shard teas or commended on Red.

Most had for me than any one, I live with this animals, every day on drive I meet them, I get to learn each one of them character, that was the had part for me more than any thing.

The marsh pride had gone through this problem all the time year after year, and an reported I must say now I have been your eyes ears up here at the maasai mara, I am there now on behalf of the Mara lions to let the world know what hardship the Lions are going through but have little I can do at the moment.

We must admit the problem is there, here we are with a National reserve ruled by a weak system and nothing I can do, as well as you all but, to put some pressure on the relevance people to make it work some day.

The mara have all the money you need in the world but all doing the wrong thing, as a result the Staff who should be running the day work of the reserve are left withought cars, poor infrastructure, No communication and the Locals have taken advantage of the situation.

I love to do some thing as you all suggested but I am so worried to do any thing that can fail as I hate that.

The only thing I can have as hope for the marsh pride is the Mara North Conservancy if this work we are all won the war withought a doubt.

I am on fire like through my fingers as I type this Post anger and frustration.

Any way what I was going to tell you is yesterday our friend Paul Kirui meet up with Olive cubs and we are now on the proseses of giving them names.

Dear Friends,

It have been a difficult day for all of us who love and know Red.

The day went pass and not one min gone without me and you talk about the missing star Red.

I started getting disturb a few weeks ago you all know when I went to look for Red and the rest of the marsh pride.

It was another day in the office Simon and his guest went on a balloon at little Governors maasai mara and I took my other guides with me in such for Red and Romeo,

After three hours from Bila shaka to top end of the marsh I could not find Red, I found Clawed, White Eye, Bibi, and Lisbey with all of the young teenagers but not Red, I was not so concern about Romeo, I know he could be with the Three graces and there cubs but Red was my main problem,

That is when I started raising the Flag of the missing Red.

Soon after that I went a few times just for Red, she was still missing and I had ask the near by guides if they have seen Red, one of them said '' ooo the big mama'' she had died a few weeks ago. I ask what happen he said I dont know.

I then ask another one the following day have you seen Red he said oo no we so a lioness who was blind and we thought it was her but she look like not dead.

I went again to have a look and found the three lioness of the marsh pride on young giraffe kill.

I knew this morning that Red is no longer with us she is not with White Eye and Bibi.

Last Drought if you followed my blog I had reported the cattle coming into the mara game reserve and lions have been flat out killing the cows.

I think not wetness this where Red when wrong, possibly on the sharp end of a spear sorry to say.

I and you are champions of conservation here in Africa and Around the world, We must not sleep when it come to really education of the people who live with wild animals here in the mara, Amboseli, Samburu and the list goes on.

The reason why we had lost one of the most famous lioness in africa is because of that people don't know much about the wildlife they are so depended on like in way of visitors.

I would support any one who create conservancies this will act as a buffer for the biodiversity of our nature.

Dear Friends,

Now I have to tell you we cannot find Red she is gone and we have have no hope to see her again.

What a loss for the marsh pride, however they must move on that is the fact of life in the wild.

Q is what had happen to her? I don't know and no one can tell me exactly what is the story.

One thing for sure we have to remember in the wild office, 'she is one of the mum of the powerful boys', ''Notch Boys'', well done Red when ever your are, your Sons have become the most powerful group of Male Lions in the mara, following your power,leadership, protection and providing while your at the marsh pride.

Dear Friends,

I have not forgotten our boys they are as strong as ever still no compition to them,

Although we had young males are in the mara near Keekorok area this is the prime time for this boys not any cheetah male will be in there teritory without a big meeting.

Honey must be very proud in the large Savanna up stares, looking at them as well as we are very impress.

At the moment in our large windows office if you go out for a day withought seeing them we fill the Job is incomplate.

Haha Now you can see why I need D3x the light is very low and the boys started waking up lol.

But at the same time I was there to enjoy there presence and share what I can from the our office.

Saba on the other had have been living very close to the boys on Rhino Ridge, she is very much taken this area for her self as well as the boys, at the moment the enemies are not very many in the ridge Hyena, Lions, or Leopards, therefore for raising her little cub is ideal, when she kill something most of the time she will finish it before the rivals get there.

Saba the Cheetah

She is now been voted Saba by so many people on my blog as well as on face book.

We have eliminated the confusion of Tatu since we have another tatu Shakira or sita cub.

We have been following this Cheetah for a while now and doing well feeding and training the cub.

Dear friends,

I have been in the office for some time now looking for Red and Romeo,

I have not seen them with Clawed, Bibi, White, Eye, or Lisbey, I realy dont know where they are possibly Sara can tell us???

The last time I sow her was at the bila Shaka laga near fumbi fumbi with rest of the pride, then after that no sign of Red and Romeo.

I meet up with Romeo A month ago too while mating with Lisbey and I even put his pic on the blog.

I just think they have move towards leopard gorge for those who remember half tail.

We have to wait and fingers cross they are all well when ever they are.

We spend a great deal with the cheetah you all know, she lost one of the little cubs again another wonderful safari for the Six ladies who come to the mara and took our camp exclusive.

The mara is still offers a safari of a life time for those who can travel to east africa.

We spend some quality time with her and got to understand a little bit and love her so much.

She cared for the cub and play as you all know she lost one cub to preditors a few weeks after they came out

We know love this cheetah so much and been given a name by the governors Guides as tatu.

I have to bear in mind that we also have tatu Shakira Cub.

I propose we look for a name for this one than Tatu.

Dear Friends,

I finaly so the to Olive cubs at the same time and not one run into cover.

Well done Olive for this wanderful cubs so sweet at the moment.

The first one was not very shy and we have been seeing him but not the little one who look like limping whether by birth or fight we dont know.

Olive made a kill near smelly crossing east of olare orak and we spend the whole evening with her.

Both cubs are boys and look fantastic.

There Mother Olive did not care as much as the cheetah mum but I bet if any one go any closer to her young one she will act like any mother.
